Friendly hotel, with very clean rooms, good housekeeping and free Wi-Fi throughout. Reception is staffed 24 hours, and the location puts many Glasgow attractions, shops and restaurants within walking distance. The team goes above and beyond with requests. Special mention to the owner Hamid, who always makes an extra effort.

I was there last month to see Scotland play Denmark in the World Cup qualifiers. The location was great, the room comfortable, and I slept really well. Everyone on staff was friendly, especially the owner, Hamid Mahmood, who was extremely helpful and welcoming during my stay. I’d recommend the hotel and would come back.

Charing Cross Hotel is a practical, well-placed option for getting around Glasgow, with easy access to the city centre, West End and public transport. It’s near Sauchiehall Street and major bus and subway routes, so the shops, restaurants and cultural attractions are easy to reach. Rooms are generally clean and comfortable, and guests often praise the friendly, helpful staff and good value. It’s more functional than luxurious, and some parts may feel a little dated, but the affordable price, location and welcoming atmosphere make it a reliable choice for a short Glasgow stay. It’s an amazing hotel.
