Barbara was so sweet, and our first stay on the WHW was a lovely one. The room was cosy and quiet, and the shared kitchen was clean and well stocked. It’s about 0.4 miles from the trail, so there’s a little extra walking to get there, but that wasn’t a problem.

I could happily have stayed longer. From the house, there’s a mountain right in front and a sheep meadow across the way. The room has a cabin-in-the-woods feel, but everything is high quality and built to a very high standard. It feels premium, stays warm and dry, and the beds are cosy. The host was very friendly and had lots of useful onward travel tips. So many little things are well thought out: the lamps and storage are where you need them, there’s a hairdryer, and the beds can be moved. It’s centrally located, with the mountain, restaurants, and a shop all an easy walk away. 12/10, highly recommend!

We had a very comfortable stay in a great little room. Ours was the disability friendly room, and it was exceptionally well thought out. Being able to use the very well equipped self-catering kitchen was a real bonus.

We spent one night here while hiking the West Highland Way. It was just what we needed, a warm, quiet, cosy place, and the owner gave us a lovely welcome. We’d definitely come back.

Such a lovely place to stay, with a friendly host and a great location. The room had everything we needed, and the kitchen next door had everything else. The owner suggested taking the scenic route out of the Trossachs on our drive to the Highlands the next day instead of the faster road. That tip was gold; the drive was beautiful, the best we’ve ever had. I’m so glad he told us about it, and we’d definitely stay here again.
