Village Hotel Glasgow

Rachael deserves a special thank you for getting the meeting space organised and making everyone feel welcome at the hotel. She was very hospitable and went above and beyond. The room was clean and everything was well organised, with the staff having it all ready for us. We used the space yesterday and had a fantastic experience. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a meeting space, especially for Rachael's excellent customer care.

For the price, I was very happy here. The place isn't luxurious and doesn't quite look like the website photos, but it works well for budget travellers or groups wanting a bit of room. Some options have separate rooms, and having a full kitchen and washer-dryer was especially useful for a longer stay. It's under a three-minute walk from Glasgow Central Station, and I never felt unsafe outside. The hallway had the off smell other reviews mention, and there were stained carpets. Light carpets aren't ideal in a hotel, but the important things in the room were clean and usable. Staff were helpful when we needed more shower soap. A great budget stay in a really convenient Glasgow location.

We had a comfortable bed, neither too hard nor too soft, and the showers were easy to use with the water at the right temperature. The gym was to a great standard, and staff were generous, kind, and friendly. Breakfast and bar food were decent, with good-sized servings. The hotel is an easy walk from the central town, with lots of restaurants, shops, and bars about 15 minutes away. Penang pan Asian was a great pick. The OVO stadium is five minutes away, and it wasn't too noisy or busy around there. Would certainly stay again.

Blanch made us feel truly welcome and looked after. Her kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care made the stay feel personal, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. She was professional and warm throughout, and that's what made the visit memorable. The hotel itself is beautiful and comfortable, in a fantastic spot that made exploring easy. From arrival, everything exceeded our expectations. Thanks to Blanch, we'd gladly come back and recommend the hotel.
