The staff were really friendly and helpful, and we had a lovely breakfast before leaving. Our room was just the right size for two, with a very comfortable bed, and we enjoyed the bar too.

After a long drive, having lots of parking was a real help. We had a clean, comfortable room with a sea view, and enjoyed breakfast and time in the beer garden. There are stairs to the rooms, so you need to be able to manage those. We walked into beautiful Crail, and felt the stay was great value.

We turned up without booking for a last-minute family dinner, eight of us with a dog, and a member of staff found us a table. The food was lovely and there was a good range to choose from. We could also sit outside in the sun for drinks. A great find in Crail, and we’ll come back if we’re in the area.

The hotel was quiet and well placed for the golf courses we were playing, and the food we had was great. One surprise was finding the kitchen closed on our second night, apparently because it was the quiet season. We hadn’t been told in advance. The owner overheard us, apologized, and offered to see what could be made from what they had. The options exceeded our expectations, and she also put breakfast out early for our flight the next morning. Gabby had already helped us get into our room about two hours before check-in, and was lovely to chat with while she worked at the bar. Friendly service all around, and the place more than met our expectations. It’s got Scottish charm and hospitality from the owner down, rather than being a Hilton.
