Premier Lodge

The room and bathroom were spacious, the shower was great, and the staff member who welcomed us was very nice. We had hardly any noise complaints overnight. But we found lots of black hairs on the bed, which made me wonder whether the sheets had been changed. The shower hose was covered in black mould, and a safety light in the room was bright enough to make sleeping difficult. We spent one night at the premier lodge in Falkirk. It was a fine place overall, but I would have rated it higher if the bed had been cleaner.

The main things that disturbed my sleep were outside the hotel's control: a low hum like an air-conditioning unit through the night, a cherry picker starting up around 5:30 am, and very chatty seagulls. I know these things happen and wouldn't hesitate to stay again, though light sleepers may want earplugs. The bed was comfortable, the shower was great, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely, some of the best I've come across.

A good basic place for the price. The room was great, reception staff were friendly, and there’s a small kitchen. It's a short walk from the Kelpies.

The beds were comfortable and I really liked the rooms. The bathroom was lovely too. Shops and restaurants are a little out of the way because it’s on an industrial estate, but the Kelpies are a short walk away.
