The Foxes Den

The breakfast was incredible, and my mum and I had such a lovely stay. Everything was clean and comfortable, and we were made to feel very welcome. We’d definitely come back and would recommend it for a nice break away.

I only stayed one night, and now I need to come up with a reason to return. I’ve been to plenty of hotels, from one star to five, and what matters to me is clean accommodation with an en-suite. This place had that, and more: the room and bathroom were clinically clean, with a hairdryer, iron, desk, fan, bedside tables, full-length mirror, mattress and pillow protectors, towels and TV. There was coffee, decaf, hot chocolate and every flavour of tea you could wish for. I was on my own, so they even gave me extra biscuits. And the English fry-up was truly wonderful, especially the sausage. The only negative was having to leave. Thanks to you both, and to Steve for giving me a lift down the road when no cabs were available on a busy Friday. That was way beyond the call of duty. You have a real gem of a place, and I wish you and the team all the best and huge success.

Vanessa, Steve and the team were great hosts for my dad’s surprise 80th birthday party. Nothing was too much trouble, and the afternoon tea was perfect. Thanks for making the celebration so memorable.

For my partner’s birthday, we spent a night away in the den and came home already keen to return. Vanessa made sure we had everything we needed from the moment we arrived, and all the staff were welcoming and very polite. Our room was very clean and well looked after. We loved having the private hot tub, and the breakfast brought to our room the next morning was delicious. They also left us a bottle of Prosecco and a dessert board of homemade cakes and treats for the birthday, which we loved. We 100% recommend it. Thank you xx
