Best Western Moores Central

I won’t stay at Moores central again. I’d stayed before and came back expecting more care as a returning guest, but felt completely disrespected. I asked twice for a room overlooking the terrace and paid extra for a superior room. Instead, the room I was given was the same as my standard room in March, just two doors down the corridor. When I complained, I was told the hotel was fully booked and they couldn’t move me. I did get a room overlooking the terrace the following day, but only after a lot of discussion. I absolutely would not recommend this hotel now.

The staff were very nice and the location is great, which makes this a shame, but I won’t stay here again. The room was unbearably hot, and the air conditioning didn’t work properly. I had to sleep with the window, curtains and blinds open. Since the room overlooked the port, it was lit up like a runway. The pillows were terrible, and the mattress wasn’t much better. All in all, a terrible experience.

The location on a lovely, convenient street was a plus, but the service was the best part. The front desk staff were wonderful, especially Valerie. When there was a problem with our room, she quickly moved us to another one. I have nothing but praise for her and her colleagues.

I booked a single room expecting it would probably be at the back of the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it, and it even had a bath.
