We stayed on the night of 4th May 2025 and are already keen to return. We were moved from our original pitch, 7, to one with a better view. From plot 9, the river looked gorgeous, and at that time there were hardly any other people around. The service was lovely, including the bloke at the snack hut. A lovely place to stay.

Have you seen the car park? Feel free to come and enjoy it, for £10, but you can’t walk around the lake. There’s no restaurant for food, and if you ask for a receipt, unfortunately you won’t get one. Definitely not a place to go.

It’s a nice location and we had a good couple of days here. The walk to the toilet blocks is really long, which is awkward with little ones who need to go in the night. Charging family to visit for a few hours during the day feels a bit cheeky when you’ve already paid for the pitch.

I joined my running club, Dagenham 88 runners, for a 'flyng visit' last weekend after one of the members recommended the site. We were at T04. I hadn’t been before and was really impressed by the facilities, the site itself and those breathtaking views. I’ll be back.

It’s reasonably priced and never felt crowded while we were there. We really enjoyed the stay, especially the kids’ playground, little shop and café, plus free showers. There’s also a small kitchen for washing up. I’d have given it five stars if there were another toilet a bit nearer the pitches.
