Hotel Indigo London K West Shepherd’s Bush

The receptionists were lovely at check-in and check-out, and the room itself was spacious, comfortable, and nicely designed. I stayed in the suite in 2021, though I corrected errors in my review, so it now says September 2024. The room could have been better maintained: there was ash between the window ledge, which was pretty shocking, and the toilet seat wasn't fixed securely, which was uncomfortable for me. The location was lovely too. But one lift was out of service, so I had a long walk through the hallways to reach the one at the back, or I had to take the stairs to the sixth floor. It took away from the peaceful feeling. Once the lift worked again, it stopped at every floor. The bar staff member I dealt with was very nonchalant. I felt like I was bothering him, which wasn't great customer service.

The location was handy, a short walk from Shepherds Bush tube station and close to Westfields and TV Centre. We stayed a few years ago, just a month before the first Covid lockdown. Our room was large and had everything we needed, and the dining facilities were decent. The customer service was friendly, and it was a pleasant stay.

We were upgraded by the receptionist to a spacious, comfortable executive room, with an especially comfortable bed and a well-appointed bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful, answering my questions and trying to make the stay comfortable. The K West Spa Hotel is in a good area near Shepherd's Bush Underground Station, Westfield shopping mall, and several restaurants and bars. I was disappointed that neither breakfast nor spa access came with the room. Breakfast was £25 per person for hot food or £20 per person for continental. A one-hour spa visit cost £15 per person if you had booked a treatment, or £25 without one. Those prices seemed high for a hotel that isn't five-star. The spa facilities are a bit small, and some facilities show signs of wear and tear. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the bathrooms are well-appointed, but I'd only recommend the executive upgrade if you're willing to pay extra for breakfast and the spa. I had a pleasant stay and would give K West Spa Hotel four stars. It's a good, convenient London option, but it has flaws. If you're after a luxurious stay, I'd choose another hotel that isn't overly priced and includes spa use and breakfast for the duration of your stay.

The spa was relaxing, and I had the scrub and massage with Julia. She was lovely and professional, with great technique. I stayed overnight with the Spa time package, and the room was spacious, though the TV started glitching after 11pm. Both the evening meal and breakfast were cooked to perfection. I'd definitely go again.
