Crowne Plaza Harrogate

We had a room only for the convention centre, so didn’t have breakfast. The room was really warm, but otherwise fantastic. In the morning the lifts take a while, with lots of floors and guests heading to the same conference at once. A great hotel for attending the convention centre.

We were initially given a room that wasn’t the one we’d paid for. The woman at check-in said there were no Queen size rooms left, even though we’d booked months ago, and no refund or other offer was made until we spoke to Zarah. She was amazing, dealt with the problem right away when she saw we were unhappy, and managed to get us the room we had actually paid for. She went above and beyond to make things right. We’d come back because of Zarah. Thank you, Zarah, your amazing.

It’s about a five-minute walk to the town centre, which makes this hotel really well placed. The staff were polite and helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable, and breakfast was good value with a very nice selection. I’d definitely stay again.

My partner and I spent two nights here over New Year and New Year’s Day for the first time. We had a brilliant time in Harrogate. The hotel and staff were lovely, and the location is fantastic, around a six-minute walk to the pubs and town centre. The bar was very nice, and the restaurant served good food with plenty of variety. Kevan was professional and helpful, and found us a phone charger to borrow for our stay. Ali at the bar had lots of tips for enjoying our visit and made a fantastic Hurricane cocktail. Zarah was especially helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Her bubbly nature and knowledge made our stay memorable for all the right reasons. We’ll definitely stay again. Paul and Tracey, Hull.
