We enjoyed our two nights so much that we added another one. Zoe at reception was incredibly kind and went out of her way to help us. Everyone we met, from reception and the bar to the cleaners, chambermaids and waitresses, was lovely and helpful. The hotel is huge, with lots of old-world charm, and the spacious dining room has plenty of character. Our room had everything we needed, was roomy and very warm, with an extra heater in the cupboard if needed. Nights were quiet, and breakfast had an excellent range of choices. We definitely recommend a stay here when visiting Harrogate, we were pleasantly surprised.

Harrogate's centre is practically on the doorstep, which made the location perfect. We stayed two nights in a double room that was clean and warm, with a comfortable bed and bedding. The whole hotel was spotless and the staff were friendly. The breakfast buffet had everything we needed. I'd recommend it and will stay here again next time we're in Harrogate.

The food was absolutely delicious and presented to a really high standard. Bar prices felt a bit steep, though we were treating ourselves to a getaway. Zoe at reception was very helpful and clearly explained the timings and dining arrangements. We were pleasantly surprised by a free room upgrade. It was a little chilly when we arrived, but there was a small heater in the cupboard and we used that. Would we return? Absolutely, 100 percent. Thanks to everyone for making our stay lovely.

The wine prices were eye-watering, two small glasses cost £8-9 each, which took the shine off what was otherwise a lovely stay. The hotel is centrally located, and parking is £15 a night, though there’s plenty of free street parking around Valley Gardens. Staff were friendly and helpful, the restaurant meal was lovely, and the bed was extremely comfortable. It was very quiet overnight.

Bettys tea rooms, bars and restaurants are just a few minutes away on foot, so the location is great. We only stayed one night, and the poor view from our twin room didn't bother us. The bathroom was on the small side, and the TV kept losing its sound. Breakfast was nice with plenty of choice. I'd recommend booking a car park space in advance.
