The self-catering setup was brilliant, with a well-stocked kitchen and a big but cosy lounge. As a solo traveller, I felt very comfortable in this lovely, quiet hotel. I’m writing this while I’m still here because I’m so impressed. I’d travelled up for the day and decided at the last minute to stay overnight, and I’m really glad I did. The owners responded quickly, answered my questions, upgraded my room for free and let me in at 2pm. That was incredibly kind, and I’d happily return. Thanks to the owners at The Norton! There’s a games room with a pool table, TV and darts, plus a kitchen area, a dining bar to sit at and a laundry room. They put out a breakfast assortment in the games room in the morning, which looked lovely. The hotel is beautiful, clean and quiet, and in a perfect location. I liked the little touch of how the towels and toilet rolls were presented. I’d definitely stay here again! 😊

We spent hours looking out at the sea and loved watching the sunrise over the bay each morning. We had two rooms, a double for us and a single for our son. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were lovely and spacious, and there was a well-equipped shared kitchen as well as our own fridge for food. Free parking was great, and the huge shared lounge had a pool table and darts. The Norton does things differently, and it works. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon.

We came for a wedding and felt incredibly welcome. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and ours had a beautiful sea view. With the hotel right on the seafront, everything is close by. The usual amenities are there too, including a handy kitchen on two floors. A lovely gem by the sea, highly recommend it.

The games room was a great extra, with space to socialise with the rest of our group. I stayed at The Norton for a wedding, in room 20, a single room with an en-suite shower room. It was warm, comfortable and clean, with a lovely, unobstructed view of the sea. Thanks for a lovely stay.
