The Langstone Quays

The location is great, and the receptionist was friendly, but the afternoon tea and spa gift experience was a real letdown. The coffee arrived warm in dirty mugs, though they did replace them. The salmon sandwiches were soggy, and the rest of the food and sweets were bland. The dining area was shabby too, with worn, ripped chairs, peeling wallpaper, and dirt along the edges and on the floor. We barely used the spa. The reception smelled strongly of chlorine, and the changing rooms and toilets were filthy, with rusty fixtures and dusty pipes. The pool area was dark and dingy, with broken, dirty tiles, and the sauna and steam room doors were grimy. It seemed like the place hadn't had a proper clean in a long time. We spent about 15 minutes there and didn't use the pool. It needs a deep clean and refurbishment. We're sad a family member paid for this gift for us.

The breakfast was lovely and had plenty of choice, and Jess and Amber at reception were both polite and really helpful. They did everything they could to make us comfortable. We were only there for 2 nights and had to switch rooms because the bathroom basin plug was stuck. The bedrooms were adequate, though shabby. The double-glazed windows had blown, and the net curtains were torn. I don't know why they hadn't been taken down.

We had a great time here. Our room was spacious and warm, and the portable heater worked properly. We also enjoyed the pool and gym, and it was pleasant walking around the grounds. From the room we had a lovely view of the water and tall trees. There are lots of attractions within a 7-minute drive.

The staff were friendly and engaging throughout our one-night stay on Tuesday 18/11/25, and the food was excellent. The pool, sauna, and steam room were fantastic. My partner said the barman made the best passion fruit martini she's ever had. We didn't catch his name, but thank you! The room was very nice, with a really comfortable bed, so we slept well. The safe showed a battery error, but staff sorted it straight away. We had a relaxing stay and will definitely be back. Thank you langstone Quays resort.
