The breakfasts were amazing, with the hot food cooked to order and served fresh and hot. They use the best locally sourced food where possible, and eggs from the on-site hens. Natalie and Ray are thoughtful hosts who clearly consider what their guests will enjoy. They want you to have a great stay, and all the accolades back up that it's genuine rather than hype. The flower themed cottage rooms are beautifully appointed and decorated, with plenty of space, a comfy bed and a shower room that I found a pleasure to use as a disabled person. Handywater Cottage has an electric gate at the entrance to its angled driveway and another at the exit. You can charge an EV if the charger is free, so there's no range anxiety. Every little detail seems to have been carefully thought through to make a stay more enjoyable. What a beautiful place to stay. Whether it's on your route or a little out of the way, this little slice of bear perfection is worth a detour. It's great for an overnight stop or a couple of nights away, and you certainly won't regret it. We've stayed in quite a few Airbnb places, but Handywater Cottage is by far the best B&B we've ever experienced.

The owner clearly cares about preserving the history, environment and natural beauty of the place. There are so many good things to say. Our room was spacious and beautifully restored, with fresh, tasteful decor. Breakfast was great, with lots of choice and perfectly cooked hot food made to order. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in the area, don't hesitate to book the Handywater Cottages.

We booked Handywater at the last minute and are so glad we did. The cottage is lovely, and just a 5 min drive from Henley on Thames Town centre. Natalie was a kind, welcoming host who showed us around. Since we were the only guests that day, she upgraded us to a bigger room, and we could still use the patio from our original room. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. I'd definitely recommend Handywater Cottage.

Natalie made sure everything was just right during my stay, going well beyond what I expected. The place itself is absolutely gorgeous. I’d highly recommend it to anyone after a really high-standard B&B.

We stayed in the Sunflower Room, and even the small touches had been thought through. The little fridge in the walk-in cupboard had fresh milk and plenty of cold water, and there was lots of tea and coffee, plus shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom. The towels were thick and plush, and the bed linen looked straight out of a show home. The room was exceptionally clean, and check-in was a breeze. Breakfast at 9.30 in the house opposite was excellent, with high-quality food and eggs from their own hens. Superb, and highly recommended.
