The building is a converted brewery, and they’ve done a lovely job keeping its character. The atmosphere was great, and the bar had an excellent drinks selection with complimentary snacks and very good service. We stayed two nights for a local wedding, and the staff were professional and accommodating. Our spacious room overlooked the courtyard and had everything we needed, from robes and slippers to a great choice of tea and coffee. The extra large bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was huge, with a roll top bath and a large shower. Breakfast had a great range of hot and cold food, and the eggs were cooked perfectly. There wasn’t space for us in the garage, but we found on street parking that suited our timing. I’d highly recommend it for a visit to Henley.

We’ve now stayed at the Hotel Du Vin in Henley-on-Thames twice, most recently in the same suite, Taylor Port, which we’d specifically reserved after our first visit over a year ago. It had been revamped, even though it was already amazing last time. The whole experience was pure luxury, and the staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make sure you enjoy the spirit of the Hotel Du Vin. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return for a third visit, in the same suite, of course. Best wishes to everyone on duty on Sunday 1st February 2026, and thank you for making this visit incredible again. We live not far away in Bray Maidenhead, so we’ll be back as soon as we can.

We wanted a quick coffee somewhere away from the high street while we were in Henley, and the bar and lounge was spacious and comfortable. The person at Reception noticed us come in, took our order for two espressos with hot milk on the side very carefully, charged us over ten pounds, and showed us to the ‘Library’. A few minutes later a colleague brought over two huge Americanos with cold milk. A third colleague quickly replaced them with what we’d ordered, but we were surprised that such a simple order was so difficult at a hotel of this class, especially with luxury hotel prices.

We came for a family christmas get together and stayed two nights. The only real drawback was the lack of an elevator, which would have helped with luggage. Otherwise, it was hard to find fault: the staff were so nice, and both the food and bar service were excellent. I’d stay again.

The room was at 27 degrees. I like it cosy, but this felt like being a lobster in a pot, and with the windows unable to open it stayed hot and stuffy even with the air con on. We couldn’t get parking during our stay, so had to use the train station, which wasn’t cheap, and there was no reimbursement. I’d called ahead and mentioned a friend’s birthday, but no birthday offer was made, despite our group booking. A bottle of Prosecco at £42.95 already seemed steep. Then staff tried to charge the birthday girl at check in, even though I’d said she had booked and I would pay. It spoiled the surprise. I paid at check out, but a few days later she was emailed asking to pay for the Prosecco, so she found out the price and had to check with her friends that it had been paid, which it had. So much potential, but a letdown.
