Hunton Park Hotel

The gardens were beautiful, especially the fountain, and I took lots of photos. It was also an easy walk from the train station. We spent a week here around my birthday while visiting London, and the hotel was lovely and clean. Our room was quiet, tucked away from the main areas, comfortably decorated, and clean. I’d read comments that the rooms were small, but I was really pleased with ours, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly when we arrived, and there was a brownie with “happy birthday” written in chocolate sauce on the plate in our room. A lovely extra, thank you! The bar was quiet, had a good choice of food and drinks, and the staff there were lovely too.

The hotel itself could use a refurbishment, and I can’t speak to the rooms, but our private event went really well. I believe events are held in the Manor House rather than the hotel. Amy handled the first enquiry and was professional, helpful, and genuinely nice. Booking was easy, and she was thorough about getting everything sorted before the day. I’d seen some negative comments about the food, but Amy reassured me, and I’m glad she did. Every guest was blown away. The starters were especially exquisite: sweet potato and coconut soup, Thai fish cake, and ham hock terrine. I’m already looking for another event as an excuse to have them again. The mains and desserts were delicious as well, and service on the day was really good. I was extremely happy with how our christening celebration went. Thank you, Amy and the Hunton park team.

The team at Hunton Park made the day feel easy and joyful, and we could relax knowing everything was in hand. They guided us through planning, answered all our questions, and took care with every detail. Nothing felt rushed. Thanks especially to the owners Mr Vinod and Neel Khanna, and to SJ, who stayed by our side and helped point us in the right direction throughout. Our ceremony space looked lovely, and the reception room was set up just right for dinner and dancing. The food was delicious, and lots of guests told us how much they enjoyed it. Staff were attentive, friendly, and did more than expected to look after everyone. We knew Hunton Park was right for us from our first visit. The manor house, grounds, and quiet countryside setting made a romantic backdrop. On the day, the long drive, elegant photo setting, and outdoor spaces all felt special. The venue gave us a lovely mix of elegance and warmth, and we’ll cherish the memories. We couldn’t have picked a better wedding venue and would recommend it to couples looking for a special place to get married.

The superior double was really nice, and the bathroom was too. I liked the heated mirror and the full-sized bottles of shower gel and other toiletries. Breakfast was pretty good, with nice sausages and hash browns that weren’t greasy. The restaurant menu was small and the food quite basic, though Roxi looked after us very well. Our room had several problems: the TV, phone, bathroom fan, and shaving mirror light didn’t work, and the WiFi didn’t seem to reach us. They offered another room and gave us drinks vouchers, but that was at 10pm, after we’d unpacked and were about to go to bed. There were a few signs of wear around the building that need attention, though otherwise it was a really nice place. The nearby natural history museum is free and has lots to see, so I’d recommend it.
