The Craig-Y-Don Hotel

The staff were so kind, and sorting out my room booking was easy. I’d chosen the wrong room type, but after I got in touch they emailed the next day to put it right. Our room was spacious, and breakfast was served smoothly and was enjoyable. We also liked the evening meals and dessert. The entertainment was fun, especially the daily bingo, which I won a couple of times. Thank you!

We stayed in room 27, the triple Seaview, and it was amazing. The whole team made the stay so enjoyable that we didn’t want to leave. Keith in the dining hall deserves a special mention, he’s so friendly and a real credit to the hotel. Neil and everyone else were helpful too, nothing seemed like too much trouble. They were also wonderful with our son, who has auitism and is non verbal. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you from the tulletts.

We had a great weekend at The Craig y don and would recommend it. The location was handy, with a tram stop right outside, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our basic room was clean, breakfast was good, and the entertainment on both evenings was great. A couple of things could’ve been better. With only one member of bar staff at busy times, especially in the evening, the queue for drinks got really annoying. My daughter was there with her 7 month old baby and had a front room with lovely sea views, but it was right above the bar. Once the entertainment started, the room literally vibrated. The travel cot also came without a mattress, and its base was very hard, so we’d bring our own next time.

This birthday was one to remember, and it’s easy to see why we keep coming back to The Craigydon. The rooms are spotless, the staff are attentive, and the atmosphere is fantastic. Its central location is perfect too. A big thank you to the staff and management for always making us feel so welcome. Looking forward to our next stay next month.
