The staff were friendly and helped me sort out a question, so I’d be happy to stay here again. My room was quiet and comfortable for the night, and good value. One small thing for management: I couldn’t work out how to use the hairdryer until I learned you need to keep your palm against the back of its handle. A note in the room would help. I ended up going downstairs with wet hair, which wasn’t ideal.

That bath was a treat after a long day, and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really good and great value, too. Everyone I met, from check-in through breakfast, was fantastic. I’ll definitely come back.

I stay at Premier Inns most weeks, and the team at the Hitchin Premier Inn are among the nicest staff I’ve dealt with. Nat in particular deserves a thank you. He’s part of the site staff team and a real asset to this hotel and the business. Nat, you’re a superstar.

I’ve stayed here many times and it’s always been pleasant: clean, comfortable, and affordable for what you get. But I can’t afford, or even consider, paying over £185 a night this Christmas while visiting family. That’s far too much for what Premier Inn offers. It’s not a boutique hotel, after all. Frustrating.

The breakfast buffet was excellent, hot, and well cooked. There’s a full English, with poached eggs made fresh if you ask, plus plenty of continental choices, cereals, toast, crumpets, jams, marmalade, peanut butter, tea, and coffee. The little bar also serves as the breakfast room, and there’s a big Sainsburys across the road for snacks. Our room was nice and clean, and the staff were really helpful. I couldn’t fault the place and would definitely return.
