The beef lasagne with garlic bread was very nice and a better sized portion. I had the toad in the hole, two sausages in a giant Yorkshire pudding with mash and lots of veg. It was huge, with the pudding taking up most of the room, but the sausages were good and the flavours were really nice. We stopped for a late lunch and got quick, good service. Worth a visit if you're passing.

We came back for a second meal, this time with family for a birthday. There was a really good choice on the menu and the food was lovely. The two ladies serving us were wonderful, friendly, and polite, and made it a great place to be. The managers should be proud to have such fab people on hand.

We had a perfect anniversary evening. Before going to our table, my partner and I sat in the bar's armchairs beside one of the two woodburning stoves with a glass of wine. The prawn risotto was absolutely delicious, and my partner said his wild mushroom and chicken pasta was spot on. Thank you to all the staff, who were professional and friendly. We'll be back!

We stayed at the New Inn Heckfield while visiting family nearby in Hook, and were thrilled with the whole experience. Our room was beautiful, with first class bedding, and tea, coffee, water, and biscuits were all supplied. Breakfast was delicious each morning. We also had dinner with family one evening, and everything from presentation to service was exceptional. Laura was a lovely, welcoming host. Highly recommend it as a place to stay and eat, or just pop in for a drink. We'll be back. Many thanks. Annette & John 👍

The food was really good for our first Sunday lunch here, and it's a nice pub. Most of the staff were very friendly and attentive. One member seemed a bit miserable and was struggling to make an effort. I'd definitely like to go back.
