Delta Hotels by Marriott Huntingdon

The hotel looked clean and modern, and having the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi included was a real bonus. Dinner was okay, though a bit dry. The service charge of 12.5% felt questionable when we had to take replacement cutlery from a nearby table, since none came with our mains, which arrived before we’d finished the starter. We also had to open and pour our own bottle of wine. Parking cost hotel guests an extra £5.00, which seemed cheeky. Breakfast was lovely, with a good choice and nice flavours, and made the stay pleasant overall.

That personal welcome really stood out. We found a handwritten appreciation letter in the room, and the staff had surprised my little girls with free snacks. The team at the Delta Hotels Huntington took such good care of my family and went above and beyond. I’ve stayed in plenty of places, but this kind of genuine hospitality was a lovely surprise and made our visit unforgettable.

The breakfast had plenty to choose from, including fresh fruit, cheese, cold meats, pastries, cereal, bread, toast, pancakes, waffles and a hot English buffet, with juices and hot drinks. Our room was spacious and well equipped, with a bath over the shower. The bar had a good stock, and the gym was well equipped too. The pool, steam room and sauna were all well maintained. We had a great stay, and taxis into Huntingdon or St Ives were easy to get. The motorway also gave straightforward access to Peterbrough or Cambridge.

The kids had a great time with the festive activities, including writing a Letter To Santa, and the team were lovely with them. We came with our two children and were impressed by the whole stay. Check-in was friendly, breakfast had a wide selection, and the pool was warm with spotless changing facilities. Room service could cater for gluten free, and the bar had a cosy, festive feel. Everything was spot on. We love it here, 10 out of 10.
