Ilfracombe Carlton

We were planning our wedding reception from over 200 miles away, and Eliot was always on the phone to answer questions and put our minds at ease. The staff made us feel looked after from the moment we arrived, and everyone was so friendly. The Carlton went above and beyond with the setup and evening buffet. They got our vision spot on, and our guests all agreed the food was out of this world. We loved being able to customise the menu. We had the best reception and can’t recommend The Carlton Hotel enough.

We stayed for a wedding with our two dogs and found the hotel brilliant. The team were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spotless and the food was amazing. It’s lovely to find a dog-friendly hotel, and we’re already talking about coming back for a break.

We had such a brilliant four-night New Year break at this fabulous hotel, our second year in a row. The food was outstanding, as always, and every member of staff was amazing. The room was spotless, thanks to housekeeping for doing a fantastic job. The restaurant team were brilliant and worked tirelessly. Michael and Eliot, we’ll be back next New Year, so get ready! The hotel was clean and tidy, the rooms immaculate, and the staff friendly and clearly working hard. Breakfast was good too, with brilliant staff who are a real asset. I only gave the location four stars because I’m not a big fan of Ilfracombe. There are nicer places in North Devon, but my mate loves it here, so I came to visit him.
