The Foresters Guest House

My mom and I really enjoyed our stay. We liked having breakfast brought to the room, and the rooms were cute and clean. It's in a lovely spot near both the sea and the train station. By car, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and even Loch Lomond are quick to reach. If you prefer a familiar, homely place to a big hotel complex, this is a great fit.

Inverkip is a charming little village, and the room's quirky decorations made the stay fun. I was there for one night on a short-notice trip to Greenock; the room was comfortable and clean, and parking round the back on Fran Terrace worked well. The complimentary chocolate mallows were much appreciated. Just what I needed, thank you ☺️

The photos and the food were both misleading. You were given a roll whether you wanted one or not, and she wouldn't put the heating on even though it was cold. She made it clear guests were only there to sleep. I stayed a few months ago. The family seemed nice apart from the wife, Heather I think. She strutted around as if she were royalty, spoke to people unpleasantly, and was very opinionated. Much of the time she didn't seem to know what she was talking about and seemed to live in her own world. I wouldn't recommend it.

The house and rooms felt really cozy, and the location was great. I'm glad my husband found the place. There was a little pub a couple of minutes away with great food, which was handy since I was too tired to drive that day.
