Glen Mhor Hotel

Fraser in the bar suggested some great whiskys to try, and his knowledge and charming manner have us certain to return. The bar itself was terrific. We also got good use from the distillery tour discount, and Tabby was an excellent guide. We were staying for the half marathon, and the hotel made the trip exceptional. The room was cosy and breakfast was nice. This place really had it all.

We've stayed at Glen Mhor several times lately, using some of the special offers, and we're already looking forward to our next trip. The Stay, Dine, Discover experience we're planning is excellent value. The hotel is right by the river and handy for shops, restaurants, Eden Court Theatre, and the newly renovated Inverness Castle. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and nicely presented, and the staff are welcoming. The Waterside Restaurant is excellent. Highly recommended!

The buffet breakfast has an excellent range, with something for everyone, and the staff are friendly, polite, and helpful. We stayed four nights in the waterside apartments. The rooms were clean and warm, though the shower was very small, and someone larger might struggle to fit in and wash their lower half. The location is great, about a five minute walk to the centre, with Inverness Castle just along the road. This wasn't our first stay, and it won't be our last.

The new owners should be proud of what they've done, especially the hydro and solar electricity that powers 90% of the brewery and buildings. We loved every minute of our stay. Freya gave us a really warm welcome, and the £20 tour for guests, bookable at the front desk, was fabulous and well worth recommending. At the front desk, Dylan was so knowledgeable and personable, and we spent a great evening asking him niche questions about the area. Fraser hosted us at the bar, which has some seriously hard-to-find whiskeys available by the dram. What could have been a quick, forgettable stop in Inverness became one of the best nights of our three-week Scottish holiday. Wow wow wow.
