The hotel was lovely and tucked away, with nice attention to detail. But even though we got in touch a week and a half ahead, we couldn't get the massage they offered. I usually wouldn't leave a poor review, but when we arrived there wasn't any dinner available for hotel guests either. We ended up disappointed, eating Indian takeaway in our rooms.

We had a great birthday dinner here. The food was fantastic, and the charming hotel was matched by staff who were attentive without hovering. Some of our group stayed overnight and had just as positive an experience. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and highly recommended.

I had a spotless room, an excellent shower, and staff who were great. The hotel has plenty of charm in a traditional Devon village, while still being close to Plymouth and a number of beaches. I arrived after planning to eat elsewhere, though the food here looked excellent. There's a lovely patio out front for a glass of wine in the late evening sun, and parking was good too. A real gem.

The room had filter coffee, and they greeted us with cake and flapjack. Breakfast offered plenty of choice, and the restaurant was top class.

Pleasant surroundings, good rooms and amenities, and staff who were both efficient and pleasant. The food was excellent too. All round, a really good place. I rarely give five stars unless somewhere truly deserves them, and this one does.
