Room 4 on the top floor was quiet and comfortable for me and my little dog. The owners were friendly but laid back, and it's a great spot for exploring Keswick on foot. Check-in was straightforward, the instructions were clear, and the rates were reasonable. We didn't try breakfast, but we'd definitely stay here again.

John and Emma are smashing people, with plenty of tips for getting around Keswick and nearby. Their made-to-order breakfast is delicious and set us up well for the day. We found the house a great base for exploring town, and mixed weather didn't spoil our four nights at all. Room 2, on the first floor, was huge and had a sofa bed. We were very comfortable relaxing there. The bed, linens and duvet were fabulous. There's information about the house on their website. I'd definitely recommend Greystoke House as a base for the area.

We came back to Greystoke for a second stay, mainly for the location and clean rooms. The beds are comfy, and the tea and coffee setup in the room is great. Emma cooked a lovely breakfast, and John gave great service at the front. We'll definitely return.

The room was beautifully clean and self check-in was easy. One thing to know about the free parking listed on booking.com: it means free street parking, once you've found a space, as is the case elsewhere in Keswick. I'd booked hoping for a designated spot or a car park. Still, I'd absolutely recommend the hotel and would come back.
