Premier Inn Dundee North

The receptionist was pleasant when I arrived, but the room was freezing and only some of the TV channels worked. Premier inn has gone downhill since it stopped offering food. There are fast food places nearby, but that's not what I want to eat, and before work I don't want packet coffee.

The rooms are basic, much like any other premier inn, but there's no longer a restaurant. That closure isn't made clear on the website, and the food venue seems to be there but no longer serves meals. There isn't a proper place to eat nearby unless fast food is your thing. That's a real shame, since having a restaurant is one of the main reasons I look for a premier inn.

The room was clean, and I had no other issues. The place was cheap because the restaurant and bar were shut, which was annoying since there was no work being done on them. Nearby, it's basically just cheap Mcdonalds and similar places within walking distance. I found the toilet paper dispenser irritating, as it gives you one sheet at a time. I'd stay again, but really only for work.

I've stayed here a couple of times for work. The bedding was clean and the toilet was fine, but the rooms are basic, the hotel looks very dated, and the hall carpets need replacing. The one-sheet toilet paper dispenser is another annoyance, just put proper rolls in. It was fine for work, but I wouldn't spend my own money to stay here.
