We came to The Selkirk Arms hoping to find somewhere good for the night, and had a great stay. The room was spotless, comfortable and nicely updated, and the hotel was immaculate with tasteful decor. The staff were friendly and helpful, dinner was excellent, and breakfast was very good too. It’s on a quiet residential street, with a wine bar and local pub an easy walk away. We visited both and met friendly locals, and there was a great range of gins, wines and lagers. The hotel is pet friendly as well. There’s plenty to see nearby, from walks and historical sites to the beautiful coast, with sea views and a ferry route to Ireland. We’d happily return to explore more. Thanks for a great stay.

We spent four nights at the Selkirk arms and really enjoyed it. The building is beautiful and historic, and the staff were all so helpful. Our room looked recently renovated, and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was included and freshly made every day. We also had dinner in the restaurant twice, and the food was delicious. The crab starter and chicken curry were particular favourites. The location is great, and there’s parking at the rear. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We had dinner here one night and it was lovely, the food was great and the staff were amazing. The room was good and the bed very comfy. The bathroom was a little tired, but it didn’t bother us. A good stay, thanks.

We stayed four nights while exploring Kirkcudbright. The staff throughout the hotel were lovely, really friendly and chatty, and the room was spacious and super comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order with good portions. We had dinner twice too, and both meals were tasty with a good choice. Can highly recommend if you’re in the area.

We went for a birthday lunch and had beautiful food. There was a two course deal on the menu too. The place felt comfy and welcoming, and the service was excellent. My partner said his coffee was excellent as well.
