Mere Court Hotel

Ellie at reception found us the perfect room, and Sam looked after us well in the bar, attentive without hovering. We had a much needed break and a great stay. The food was very tasty at both dinner and breakfast, and the drinks were reasonably priced. We’d certainly come back if we’re in the area.

The venue is stunning and the rooms are beautiful. Our family events there felt really special, and Sam deserves a particular thank you for being such a lovely person. We’re grateful to Mere Court for hosting our family twice. On both occasions the staff were incredibly helpful, kind, warm, and hospitable. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. Thank you for making those family moments so special.

The service was second to none, and the food was delicious. The room was lovely and the bed comfortable, too. It has the feel of a wonderful old-fashioned hotel, and the value was excellent, much cheaper than other hotels nearby. I can only give it a full set of stars.

With only 7 months to plan, Lyndsey and Georgia helped turn our wedding vision into reality. They answered my many questions and offered flexible choices, which gave us confidence and helped make the day feel like ours. Mere Court is a gorgeous historic hotel and was just right for our wedding. The team kept everything running smoothly on the day. Our guests complimented the pretty venue and the food: we chose a Hog roast instead of a traditional sit-down wedding breakfast, then greek gyros in the evening. They also liked the hotel’s traditional, elegant rooms. I’d recommend Mere Court Hotel to anyone wanting the ceremony and reception in one place. Thank you to everyone at Mere Court for making our day feel extra special 🤍
