Ibis Budget Knutsford

The rooms were clean and the bed was super comfortable, but Dawn was the real standout. On Sunday morning I asked her to call a taxi, and she said there’d be a 30-minute wait, which I was happy with. While I waited, she realized it might take even longer, so she cancelled it and drove me where I needed to go, 30 minutes away. I offered to pay for petrol, but she wouldn’t take anything. She went above and beyond for a customer, which was a breath of fresh air, and she’s a credit to ibis. Thank you, Dawn. Perfect hotel, highly recommend.

We’d planned on four nights, but our travel plans back to Spain changed, so we stayed for just two. We were there Wednesday and Thursday night last week, and the stay was just as described. Everything was very clean and simple, and the staff, especially the Manager, were so welcoming and friendly. A big thank you to everyone at Ibis Near Knutsford. We enjoyed our stay.

I’ve stayed here several times, and the rooms have always been clean, the beds comfortable, and the showers good. But I lost a lot of respect for the hotel after getting caught up in roadworks nearby. Satnavs hadn’t been updated, and the only way in was a very windy country lane. I lost an hour trying to work out the route. At check-in, I asked why nobody had warned me about the road problems or emailed the nearly impossible route. The staff member said it was just too hard to tell people. They’re happy to take your money, but don’t make the extra effort to help regular customers.

It was fine for an overnight stop, and I’d stay at an Ibis Budget again. It’s budget, so you get what you pay for. The room was basic but spacious, with a TV and tea making facilities. It was very cold, and I couldn’t tell whether the heater worked. Reception staff were polite and helpful. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so it was very quiet with no traffic going by. But we could hear people coming and going at reception because our room was next to it, and planes landing from 6am. There wasn’t anywhere within walking distance to get food, since the petrol station next door and the Little Chef had both closed.
