Our waitress Ellen was the best part. She was friendly and really helpful, and sorted out a meal for one of our group who’s a very fussy eater, swapping things around without any fuss so he could enjoy it. We’d booked Sunday lunch for 7 on a whim after a weekend in Chester, with no idea what to expect. The place was welcoming and nicely decorated, and the food was amazing. My Partner and I shared the trio of meats and it was wonderful. We’d definitely come again!

The pub is gorgeous inside, with a fireplace and a quiet feel. Nathan served us and was lovely and accommodating. He knew the menu well and told us about the day’s specials. My triple decker club sandwich was beautifully made and delicious. Thank you!

Our table at the back looked out over the garden, which made for a lovely setting. The place felt warm and welcoming, and the staff were genuinely friendly. Nathan and Lisa took great care of our group of 12, adults and children alike. We had a fantastic time dining at The Golden Pheasant. The food and service were excellent from beginning to end. Highly recommended, we’ll definitely be back.

The triple cheese and onion pie with chips, peas, and gravy was outstanding. The pastry was soft, and the cheese had plenty of richness without being too much. We followed it with apple crumble, ice cream, and custard. Lisa suggested we skip the double pastry, but we’re glad we ignored that advice, it was perfect. The Golden Pheasant has a beautiful, cosy setting, with warm fires and a welcoming feel. The staff were lovely and made us feel at home. Lisa was especially friendly and helpful, and her recommendations were spot on. Thanks to her and the whole team for looking after us so well. Great food and atmosphere, highly recommended.

We found the room clean, spacious, and good value. The pub food was simple, well presented, and suited the setting; it wasn’t overpriced and felt like good value too. The staff gave us a warm welcome and were helpful and hospitable. The place could use a coat of paint in some areas as it’s looking a bit tired. The roaring log fire in the breakfast dining room was a real plus. I’d definitely recommend it.
