The staff were friendly and helpful when I checked in and out, and the bed was comfortable. It’s a motel, so I wasn’t expecting anything spectacular. The room was clean, tidy and warm in winter, the heater worked, and everything else did too. Water pressure was excellent, though the fixed shower head was irritating. A hose would be better. Road noise didn’t bother me. The room was a bit tatty and damaged, so I’ve taken off a star for that. The other one is for the £5 parking charge, which feels like a total rip-off for a motel when there aren’t many pedestrians on a motorway. It seems like a con to me. Hopefully the money goes towards staff wages and not CEO bonuses, ha!

Anne was wonderful about moving us from a second-floor room to one on the ground floor near the entrance, which made it much easier to take our dog in and out. Nothing was a bother, and they’re very dog-friendly. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water for the shower. For a budget hotel, you can’t ask for more for the money.

The receptionist was efficient and helpful, and our room was really quiet despite being right on the M74. It was a good size, basic but practical, and everything was very clean. The bathroom worked fine. It’s very convenient, and I’d stay again if the price doesn’t go up. For food, you have to go into the service station, so bring plenty of money!

A lake-view room is great if you can get one. The staff were very friendly, and the rooms were clean and spacious. The bathroom was a bit worn, but it had both a bath and a shower. There was tea and coffee in the room as well as a TV. Handy for a quick stopover.
