We needed a room at short notice because a relative was in hospital, and the staff were accommodating and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was included with a delicious range of choices. I can’t praise the team enough. I’d highly recommend the hotel and bar area, and we’ll definitely stay again, hopefully in brighter circumstances. Thanks to all the staff ✨️

The room was beautiful, the supervisor and staff were genuinely excellent, and the pub food was lovely. It’s a real shame the owners let the stay down and seemed to show little concern for our comfort or wellbeing. We were visiting my dad in ICU, so a warm, comfortable place to rest mattered a lot. Our room heating didn’t work. We told staff right away, and the supervisor kindly brought an electric heater, but it didn’t help in the large room with high ceilings during freezing weather. We were extremely cold all night. The heating still wasn’t working the next day. We also found the shower gave only around two minutes of hot water. By the time my mum had showered and I went in, it was completely cold. So we had both a freezing room and cold showers. The supervisor contacted the owners and was told nothing could be done. We asked for compensation because basic things like heating and hot water weren’t provided. They offered only £30 each towards a meal, which felt completely inadequate in the circumstances.

The food was excellent when I went for a meal with a friend the other day. There was a mix-up with our order, but it was put right quickly, cheerfully, and generously. Well worth another visit.

I’ve stayed here with my family and dogs before, and we’ve always received the same warm treatment. I’m here a lot for work, so it’s about time I left a review. There are plenty of hotels around, but this one does things very well. The rooms are huge, comfortable, and well equipped. I’ve only had breakfast, but it’s always been superb, and the food is excellent. The staff are friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The bar is well stocked. I’d recommend the Lune Brew Pale Ale, an amazing local brew. The location is good too.
