The Riverside sits in a stunning spot by the water, with a rustic charm that makes you want to come back. But the service took the shine off our visit. Staff were rude and unwelcoming, and our burger took over an hour to arrive. That’s simply not acceptable for a relaxed pub lunch.

A charming, dog-friendly pub with a lovely atmosphere, and I enjoyed the pizzas. The knives were blunt and didn’t cut properly, so they could use sharpening or replacing. Still, it’s a nice place worth a visit.

The riverside setting is lovely, especially for a drink outside, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I did have a meal, but honestly it didn't impress me much. I was also disappointed that I still had to pay to park outside even after using the pub. I think they should look into that.

The rooms are basic and functional, but sound carries through the thin walls, so it wasn't very private or quiet. We had planned to eat at the pub, though the staff seemed unwelcoming and as if they didn't want to be there, so we went elsewhere locally. The riverside terrace is lovely for a cold pint, and the location is cracking. With kayak and boat hire right next door, it could work well for activities. Fine overall.

Breakfast was really good, especially the sausages, and the service was lovely. I went this morning, the day after it reopened, and the pub feels so much warmer, calmer, and more welcoming than I remember. It's been fitted out really well and feels like a proper Cotswold pub. Worth revisiting and supporting this local place. Well done to the owners 👏
