The open fire, relaxed music, and cosy bar made a good place to unwind after work, and I slept really well. The food was excellent, with generous portions, and the staff were friendly. The Guinness and Hawkstone were good too. I stay in plenty of hotels for work, and The New Inn is the best I’ve found in a long time. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this week’s stay seemed worth mentioning. If you need somewhere to stay around here, give it a try. 10/10.

The meal was one of the best I’ve had, and the price and portion size were both great. The steak, cooked blue, was so tender, and the feather of beef was delicious. We started with a bread board and olives. Everything looked lovely, smelled amazing, and tasted even better. The staff gave us a warm welcome and checked in just the right number of times. They seemed to care about doing a good job. The pub felt cosy, and the restaurant room was a nice size. I can’t comment on the accommodation, but I’d happily come back for the food and service. No complaints. Well done, team, keep it up.

Dinner was absolutely delicious, and the bar had a cosy, welcoming feel. When we arrived, Simon and his team greeted us warmly, found us just the right rooms, and shared plenty of helpful local information. Thanks for such a lovely stay. Highly recommended!

The hotel is in a quaint spot in the town centre, close to the Thames. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the shower worked well. Breakfast costs extra, and it's more expensive if you don't book it in advance. The reception is cramped into a busy part of the pub and is often unattended, which left me feeling like an inconvenience. Cleanliness was lacking in a few places, including a dusty carpet and wardrobes, plus a dirty TV remote. Privacy was an issue too, with dodgy bathroom blinds and rooms close enough to overlook the bar.

The food was good, and the other staff were welcoming. My room was cosy and comfortable, though a little tired in places. It was disappointing because the room wasn't what I had booked, and the manager was rude and unhelpful when I tried to discuss it.
