The food got compliments from everyone, the toilets were clean, there was no queue at the bar, and the rooms were lovely and spotless. We think everything ran smoothly, anyway. Our wedding at Woodlands on Friday was an amazing day from beginning to end. Abbigail, the co-ordinator, handled all the planning and was brilliant on the day. Marc, the toastmaster, brought exactly the energy a wedding needs. Every staff member was attentive throughout the build-up and the day itself. They checked in with us constantly, thought through the details, and nothing was too much trouble. Sorry to the rest of the team whose names I missed, I was fueled with Guinness. We’re so happy with how it all went and can’t recommend the Woodlands hotel enough for a wedding. We’re grateful to Woodlands hotel, Abbigail and Marc. The owners should be proud of everyone working on 17/04. A full five stars from us.

We celebrated my daughter’s wedding at Woodlands Hotel, Beth and Tom Jolley’s wedding party, and the whole occasion was first class from start to finish. The food was fantastic throughout, and the staff were friendly and professional, always ready to help. I’d wholeheartedly recommend the Woodlands Hotel for a special occasion. The food was lovely all day and into the evening, and the team were so helpful and kind. The grounds are beautiful, a picture-perfect setting for a wedding. Our room, number 21, was a different story: cramped, with two flies and nine ladybirds inside, and the bathroom lighting really needed improvement. Reception offered us another room, but we couldn’t move because we had to attend the wedding. Management later gave us 50% off the price.

We’ve already booked my dad’s 60th, so it’s clear we love Woodlands Hotel. We held our baby shower there in January 2025 and recently had our daughter’s christening there too. The christening was wonderful, and the team helped make special memories for us. They let us come in the night before to set up, which took a lot of pressure off and meant we could enjoy the morning. The food was amazing, especially from the outdoor kitchen, and everything ran smoothly. Guests are still talking about it. Elenor was lovely, attentive and helpful across all three days, and nothing was too much trouble. Couldn’t recommend The Woodlands enough. Thank you, Grace x.

The grounds were lovely for wedding photos, with plenty of trees to shelter under if it rained. We held our reception here in October 2025 and were very happy with our choice of venue. Planning communication was great, we felt well looked after, and the team gave us plenty of flexibility. Everything on the day ran smoothly, and guests noticed how professional the staff were. The food got lots of praise, from the canapés and hog roast buffet to breakfast. All the rooms were fabulous, and guests loved them. The bridal suite was stunning and very comfortable. We had a lovely day.
