The fish and chips were outstanding, and I’d happily come back for them. This is a lovely little pub and hotel in a great spot. The staff were nice and relaxed, and our room was comfortable and so quiet. Best night’s sleep I’ve had in months.

I travelled from Oxford for a family get-together and stayed overnight. The room was spotless, with plenty of towels, toiletries, and nice white linen. The staff were excellent, friendly, and helpful. I've paid twice as much at other hotels and got terrible service. Couldn't ask for more, five stars.

We went for a Sunday roast and were really impressed. I had the beef, my husband chose the lamb, and both meals were absolutely brilliant. The service was excellent and it was good value. We'd definitely recommend it and will be back very soon.

The food and drink were good quality, and the place was clean with a nice atmosphere. The staff were excellent, friendly, and accommodating. Our en suite bathroom radiator didn't seem to work, though we didn't mention it to anyone, and the mattress could probably do with replacing. Those things didn't outweigh the good parts of our stay. We're looking forward to coming back when we next visit family nearby.

The staff were decent, but the room was dirty, with dust everywhere. Pictures were hanging off the wall and the ceiling wasn't holding the lights up. These are basic hotel things that need sorting. I didn't even want to shower there.
