The rooms were functional, clean and quiet, and most of the staff were very pleasant. But one staff member’s behaviour is what we remember, and it brought down what would otherwise have been an OK stay. Our 18-month-old still spills food while learning to eat, and we do try to tidy up before leaving. This time, halfway through breakfast, we were handed a dustpan and brush and asked to clean the few bits under the highchair ourselves. It wasn’t a huge issue, but it undermined the friendliness of the rest of the staff and left a sour impression.

The room was clean, with a generously sized shower and nice toiletries. There was a good selection of tea and coffee pods, plus complimentary fizzy water in the fridge. The location is convenient, and guest parking is free. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, especially Chloe, who went to the trouble of posting back the glasses I’d left in my room. Good value for money, and I’ll certainly stay again.

We’re glad we came back to this Premier Inn. The location makes it easy to pop over to the seafront, and the staff made us feel very welcome. We’d happily visit again sometime soon.

LEAH at breakfast was fantastic both mornings. She kept smiling even with our whole group wanting breakfast, and was always scanning the room for dirty plates. She’s the person I’ll remember, as no one else made the same effort. The room was nice, and we were greeted by friendly people. There was only one towel, so we asked for another. The receptionist, who was training, didn’t know how to direct us to the shop. Dinner was a complete shambles despite us booking and telling them there’d be ten of us. It took over an hour for food that wasn’t the best. They ran out of lager, leaving bottles as the only option, and the harried bar staff showed their frustration with huffing and tutting.

We had a lovely night at this hotel, and the breakfast really impressed us. Vicki was wonderful, so friendly with our little boy.
