The apartment had a big living and kitchen area, and the rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable, with an en suite and a main shower room. It’s perfectly located for the M&S Arena. On arrival, we were given keys to a room that clearly still had guests in it, or they’d only just left. The receptionist was very friendly and sorted it out right away. I wish I’d known about the parking, I could have saved £27!

The city centre was about a 15-20 minute walk away. Our room was really spacious and comfortable, and the staff were genuinely nice, happy, chatty and helpful. Honestly, this place exceeded my expectations.

The apartment was incredibly comfortable and in a really good location. The toilet bowls are much too high, though. Not everyone is five feet tall! Parking around the hotel wasn’t clearly explained, but the staff were extremely friendly. I’ll definitely return. There was a party in the reception area one evening, with lots of young people and very loud music. I could hear it from the apartment, which rather defeats the point of resting.

The woman who checked us in on 24 January was so good that she’d get a 5/5 from me on her own. Breakfast, though, wasn’t worth buying for £8. It was a mini yoghurt, a croissant, Aldi porridge, a small apple and a bottle of water. We did get it free, thankfully, but the man on duty at breakfast was atrocious. He argued with my husband about it, and it wasn’t even worth arguing over. He blamed Booking.com, even though we’d booked directly with the hotel. We also had electrical problems, though it seemed to affect only our flat.

The dock view was nice, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Rooms are very basic, but clean. You can feel the bed springs when sitting on it, though it’s reasonably comfortable once you lie down. Good spot for central Liverpool and the sights. Fair value overall.
