Knowsley Inn and Lounge

The main drawback is the location, just off the roundabout by the motorway and at the edge of town. There aren’t many shops or takeaways within walking distance, though there is a set of shops. There’s plenty of parking, and breakfast is good, with enough choice and everything was fine. The hotel is clean and modern, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms do the job for a night or two. It’s decent for the price. I had no issues and saw no shady characters, so if the price is right, don’t worry about some of the less positive reviews. It’s just a normal hotel.

Had a really good stay and would recommend it. The room felt a bit chilly when I first came in, but the fan was decent. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially Liam and Laura, I think it was Laura. Ben was sound too.

We came back to use the hotel as a base for a match, Liverpool v Wolves on 27th Dec, after staying here for a previous match. It’s a few miles out, but the room price is good enough to make the distance worthwhile. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My only criticism is the walk-in shower: water spills onto the bathroom floor, and the screen really needs to be wider.

The breakfast was tasty, hot and well stocked, and it was reasonably priced. The hotel is lovely, clean and good value, and the staff were very helpful. We’ve already decided we’ll stay here again next time we’re in Liverpool.
