Village Hotel Liverpool

The staff were brilliant and always happy to help, which made our two-night stay even better. We really liked the relaxed bar and enjoyed a few games of darts. The bed was so comfortable, probably one of the best hotel beds I’ve slept in, and breakfast and the evening meals were lovely. The pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were all pretty spacious, so it never felt too crowded while we were there.

I’ve stayed at lots of Village Hotels, and this was by far the worst. I booked a family room for me and one child, but we were only given one bed. How were we meant to sleep in the same bed with an 8-year-old? The room wasn’t very clean and there wasn’t much space. We were also charged extra to use the pool, and hotel guests can’t come in just to sit and relax while their family swims. The night staff behind the bar were the one thing I’d give five stars to. The darts and other games were good, and the food was okay, nothing special. Reception weren’t very friendly. I won’t book this hotel again.

Christmas in the inspiration suite was outstanding, and we had the best Christmas ever. We brought friends from down south, and they said it was the best Christmas they’d had in years. Superb value, a great singer and, above all, wonderful staff. Thank you to everyone who gave up Christmas Day to make ours so special. Thanks again from Annette and Gary Campbell.

The rooms are comfortable, reasonably spacious and nicely decorated, with a large-screen TV and Sky Sports included. There’s a big car park with electric car chargers, and the hotel is in Whiston with easy access to the M62 and M57. The attached club has a gym, swimming pool and lively bar with food and big screens for sports. Function rooms are available too. It all made for a very pleasant stay.
