Downstairs is great, and the hotel hosts all sorts of functions. I'm told they do weddings, christenings and funerals. Rooms could use a refit. A helpful, kind young man also told me about coming out parties, or gender affirmation parties. I'd never heard of that, despite spending years at Glasgow university, and was pleasantly surprised. It must be an inclusive place for functions.

The restaurant team have been friendly and helpful all through my stay. Olivia and Joy especially have gone above and beyond to make things enjoyable. The receptionist who checked me in on Monday 2nd March 2026 was polite, efficient and very helpful. I can't remember her name.

Breakfast was excellent, and Annie, our server, was 10/10. She worked so hard, was friendly, and did everything she could to make my wife and me feel at home while we were away. She deserves a raise! The rooms were clean and the staff fantastic and professional. It's a great price, and you can walk to the outlet in 5 minutes. The internet wasn't great, but I hear it should be fixed soon.

We spent 4 days here over Christmas 🎄 and loved the hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast had everything, all really tasty. Annie was helpful with everything, polite and always smiling. The service was perfect.

Breakfast was superb, with traditional Scottish breakfast and kcal/100g shown on each menu for anyone counting calories. Annie really looked after everyone in the restaurant, and the service from her was ace. The staff were hospitable and accommodating throughout. The location is convenient, just across from Livingston shopping centres, and about a 15 minute drive from Edinburgh Airport. Amenities were decent.
