Rose-Tor Hotel

The room could use a bit of TLC, though I only slept there, so it didn’t bother me much. The staff were friendly and worked hard, especially behind the bar. Breakfast was amazing, with a big selection. A fantastic hotel.

I couldn’t shower because the room on the third floor had no hot water, and there’s no lift or help with carrying heavy luggage upstairs. We also got a parking ticket after following the receptionist’s wrong advice. The carpets were dirty, there was no iron in the room, and the £5 one they gave us on request was so poor I couldn’t get my clothes ironed. In hot weather they had just one table fan for two rooms. They couldn’t handle criticism, either. It was a shame, and the worst experience ever. What a dump of a hotel.

The breakfast buffet had plenty on offer. We stayed on a Sunday and didn’t find it especially noisy. The room felt a little old, but it had plenty of character. For the hot water, I had to turn it fully to the hottest setting and leave out the cold water. Then the temperature was just right.

For what we paid, the hotel was spot on, and it was nicely decorated. We had a good breakfast, and Gabriel was absolutely fantastic when he checked us in.
