The view was incredible, and the staff made us feel welcome the whole time. They were friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. My young daughter and I had a wonderful stay and would happily come back. Our room was clean and comfortable, so it was easy to relax after a long day. Breakfast was amazing, with loads of choice and hot food cooked just right. I’d definitely stay here again.

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and a special thanks to Ms. Suzanne, the waitress, for making our stay even nicer with her service. We also loved the breakfast, both for its taste and the range of choices. The hotel was in a perfect spot, making it very easy for us to get around, and we had a truly wonderful stay.

Even with the bad weather, I had a great weekend here. The location was just right, and the room was cosy and clean. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and honestly, everything was perfect. I’ll definitely come back over the summer.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was absolutely amazing. I’d have given the hotel five stars if the window hadn’t been broken, as the room was freezing because of it.

The bedroom had what we needed, but it was small, bland, and depressing. The old sprung mattress was really uncomfortable, like sleeping on a plank, and there wasn’t even a mattress protector. The shower room was awful too. It was so cramped we had to squeeze through the bifold doors, and the finish and workmanship were poor. The bay window in the breakfast room was full of dust and grime, and it was obvious it hadn’t been cleaned for a while. Breakfast, on the other hand, was first class and cooked perfectly. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, and went above and beyond. I hope the owner takes this as constructive criticism, because it’s an honest reflection of our stay at the Lauriston hotel.
