The room was basic, and the woman who checked me in during the day was lovely. At dinner time, though, a young man was at the check-in desk, and for seven hours I could hear very loud Hindi voices right outside my door. My room was closest to the lobby and desk. I think the person at reception was talking while playing games at the desk. The same person also carried on speaking just as loudly in the hallway while passing my door, with no regard or manners towards guests. That blatant disregard was humiliating and ruined the whole stay. It wasn’t just that I couldn’t sleep.

There was a small incident with a group on Friday, but the staff handled it effectively and the group was removed. We were grateful for the response and enjoyed the rest of our break. The staff were lovely, the service was great, and we’ll definitely return. Even the seagulls wanted in on breakfast, tapping on the window. See you again!

We chose room 19 at the back, which was also a fire exit room, and it suited us fine. It was clean and tidy, stayed quite cool despite the hot weather, and had tea, coffee, and water. The staff were friendly, polite, and always helpful. There’s a small bar and lounge, plus outdoor benches where we sat watching the sea at 11pm. We were there for two nights for my husband’s birthday, and the location was perfect, right by the seafront and close to everything. I was in week four of recovery from lung surgery, so that was especially helpful. We arrived a bit early to check in, but it was no trouble to park in the hotel car park, which is tight and first come, first served. We left the car there, and they put our cases in the room once it was ready. We wandered into town for a bit of lunch. I’d return, maybe for a sea-view room next time. Thanks to the owners and staff for a lovely stay.

The only thing that gave me pause was our room being the fire exit for the floor. I assume that in a fire alarm the door would unlock for people on the floor to escape through. It wasn’t a big concern for a one-night stay, but I’d have wanted another room for a longer visit. Apart from that, the room was clean and comfortable, and there wasn’t much noise from other guests passing by, even though we were on the first floor near the stairs. The bathroom was tidy and very clean. The team were great and clearly wanted us to have a good time. Breakfast was next level, freshly cooked to order and piping hot, with plenty of toast, tea, and coffee, plus premium sausages and smoked bacon. The price was very reasonable, and it’s not far from the pier. This is the first Llandudno hotel I’d choose to revisit. They also let us leave the car for a few hours after checkout while we went for a walk, which we appreciated.
