We had a clean, slightly dated two-bedroom apartment on the 4th floor at 10 Curzon. The layout worked well for our family, with a king bed, two twins, a good-sized living room, and a small kitchen and bathroom. The location in the heart of London is great, and the space is good value. The main drawback is the lack of an elevator. We had to carry a lot of luggage up four flights of stairs. I’d recommend the apartment overall, but check other properties if you need a lift.

I’d been a repeat guest for several years, but I won’t return. The furniture is dated and the cleaning is inadequate. The most frightening problem happened one evening when the security alarms went off and we were trapped inside for hours. There were no evacuation routes, the front door was locked, and every window was secured shut. No staff were on site while the alarm rang loudly. They later said it was a false alarm and emailed me acknowledging the issues, but if there had been a real fire, we could have been trapped and died. The building systems are dangerous, and I felt worried for the rest of my stay.

That Mayfair location is hard to beat, but the apartment was tired, grubby, and noisy in ways that had nothing to do with the street. It didn’t feel like a 4-star place and wasn’t worth £330 per night. If I’d known how neglected it was, I’d gladly have paid more to stay somewhere else. The online photos hide the poor maintenance and lack of care. The bathroom was in awful shape. There was pubic hair in the bath and on the floor, and most of it stayed there all week. The grout and walls were moldy, the bath wouldn’t hold water, and it drained slowly during a shower. There was a cracked, warped panel where tiles may once have been, a curtain rail like a metal broomstick, a broken tap handle, cracked loose tiles with missing grout, insects, and the worst silicone work we’ve ever seen. The microwave and cutlery were dirty too. Windows were grimy, walls marked, carpet stained, with cobwebs and dust everywhere. We even found a used or opened coffee sachet left for me to throw away. The two single mattresses pushed together sagged in the middle, though they were firm and comfortable. The TV channels were unreliable, internet ran at 0.31-1 Mbps, and nobody helped with luggage. One door was propped open with a block of wood; the apartment door needed a shove to open or close, which felt like a security risk. Window frames had rotten wood, seals were broken or falling off, and the windows wouldn’t shut. The furniture had some charm, but was poorly maintained, with handles missing from the drawers. Wardrobe doors wouldn’t close, and another wouldn’t stay open. There were no proper blackout blinds, the bedroom windows didn’t open, and we could hear other guests’ bodily functions through the floor. On top of that, there was an intermittent deafening sound from what might have been plumbing or machinery, so loud we had to raise our voices to talk. Staff were polite and promised to fix some things while we were out, but nothing changed. Past reviews suggest this has been a common problem since 2019. There’s a big difference between charmingly aged and neglected, and this was neglected. It has potential, but management seem to rely on the location alone. If they’d tried to resolve anything, I’d have given 2 or 3 stars. How a place handles problems matters, and 10 Curzon St by Mansley apparently didn’t try. Did it ruin my stay? No. Would I stay again or recommend 10 Curzon St by Mansley? No.

The rooms were elegant, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped, and the team made the stay smooth with friendly, attentive service. I also appreciated the personal touches. Mansley on Curzon Street is right in the heart of Mayfair, with shopping and dining close by. A fantastic stay in a wonderful location.

The location at 10 Curzon Street by Mansley was ideal, just a short walk from many of London’s main attractions. Our serviced apartment was spacious and beautifully decorated, with excellent amenities and careful attention to detail. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout, and their personal recommendations and service made the stay feel special. I’d happily recommend it to anyone wanting a memorable London stay.
