100 Queens Gate Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton

The breakfast choices and location are good, but they couldn’t make up for how poorly we slept. Both stays were noisy, with thudding, footsteps, rolling suitcases, and kitchen and housekeeping trolleys coming through the thin walls and floors all night. We were in Lower Ground rooms, including the townhouse rooms. When we raised the noise issue on the first stay, we were moved to a smaller room with an older bathroom, a smaller bed, weak AC, and windows that wouldn’t open. We thought it might have been a one-off and booked again, this time almost two weeks ahead in one of the priciest rooms. Beforehand we called to request a queen bed on any floor except lower ground and were told that was fine. We added the same request to the online booking and repeated it when we arrived. Still, we got Lower Ground again. The next day, we were told to ask the concierge about moving upstairs to a downgraded room, with no mention of a discounted rate. It was so noisy again we barely slept. You’d sleep better above a pub. The rooms are far too noisy for the price.

We really enjoyed the lounge, with its pleasant atmosphere and very good food and drinks. A young woman from Australia served us on several evenings and was excellent, though we didn’t get her name. Breakfast also had a fantastic selection, including very good gluten-free and vegan pastries, and we had a great chat with the Chef. The rooms and facilities were clean and well maintained. We felt safe walking around, and several museums were an easy walk away. Every staff member we met was welcoming and professional, with special thanks to Elga, Syed, Rosie, Adam, Antonio, and Firas. My one suggestion is about storage. There’s very little room for clothes, and the fake fireplaces take up space where drawers would help guests staying more than a night or two. That’s why I rated the rooms 4 rather than 5. My wife and I stayed at this excellent Hilton property from February 19th-23rd, 2026, and would gladly return to this high-quality hotel. Hilton members like us will find the stay worthwhile.

We’ve stayed here several times and would recommend it. It’s on a fairly quiet road, close to good restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and just a short walk from South Kensington tube station. Breakfast is very good, with plenty of choice. Most of the rooms we’ve had were good, but watch out for some with no windows or weaker air conditioning. When we raised concerns about those rooms, staff moved us somewhere more comfortable. We look forward to coming back when we next visit London.

Rosie at reception, Syed from concierge, and Reza with the luggage made such a difference to my London trip. They were always ready to help, smiling and positive, and their thoughtful service made the stay memorable. From arrival, the whole team made me feel welcome and valued, going out of their way to help me feel at home while I was far from home. I’ve stayed in many hotels around the world, and I’ve never experienced such warm, attentive service. I’m deeply grateful for their kindness and care, and I’ll always remember this wonderful stay.
