Best Western Buckingham Palace Rd

The bed was comfortable, and the hotel was very clean. But the rooms were small, the stairs were steep, and it was very noisy all night. I’m guessing most of the sound came from the train line, though you could clearly hear people moving around too. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

The location is the real highlight, just steps from Victoria Station, so it’s easy to get around London. We had a very good stay at the Best Western Buckingham Palace Road. The rooms are small, but clean, practical, and fine for a city visit. You can hear the nearby trains, although a decent pair of earplugs solves that easily. The staff were friendly and welcoming, always willing to help. We skipped breakfast at the hotel because there are lots of excellent cafes and breakfast places just around the corner. A solid, convenient choice.

Rooms are quite spacious by London standards, and the price is very reasonable for the area. The location works especially well if you’re using the Tube, with everything nearby and a bus station a short walk away. There are plenty of amenities around too, so it’s a good base if you’ll be getting around the city a lot. The gentleman who helped us was kind and helpful throughout, and even offered us coffee or hot chocolate, a lovely touch. Highly recommended!

The staff were nice, the location worked well, and the room was very clean. But being below ground level, it got unbearably hot. The AC couldn't keep up, so in February I slept with no blanket and the window open. That window faced another AC outlet, which sometimes sent warm air straight back in. There was some train and neighbour noise too, though I usually sleep with earplugs, so it wasn't a dealbreaker for me.
