The food was a real highlight: breakfast had fresh fruit, plenty of protein choices and enough variety to eat well while travelling. I also had room service, and both the steak and burger were excellent and arrived quickly. For training, the hotel worked especially well for me. My room had a Peloton bike, so I could keep up my riding routine without going out, and I used the clean, well-equipped Technogym gym every day. It suits an active trip, with a modern design and a great location. I'd stay again.

Online check-in was smooth, and the Wi-Fi worked well for business and video calls. I really liked the interior design and the quality of the finishes. My room was comfortable, well designed and warm even with winter weather outside. Breakfast was great, and there was a Nespresso machine in the room. The hotel is convenient for my office and within walking distance. I had a great stay and will be back soon.

The breakfast let things down a little. The eggs were cold and rubbery, and the bacon was so crisp it seemed better suited to Americans than British tastes. That's a small complaint, but the price is premium and the grand setting makes those details noticeable. The hotel itself makes a strong first impression, with a beautiful lounge, helpful staff and a sleek, gorgeous room. I'd be glad to stay in this part of London again.

The staff were friendly, and the location works if you need to be on this side of London. The entrance, reception and bar are clean, modern and nice. But there was no way to open the windows, and the air conditioning barely moved any air, so the room felt poorly ventilated. Phone reception was bad too, making FaceTime difficult. My TV didn't work, and even the maintenance man couldn't get the phone connection needed to set up its replacement. I also really disliked the bare concrete ceilings and exposed pipes and ducts. Breakfast tasted generally good, but the choice was modest and far too expensive compared with other London and European hotels at this price. For what they charge, there are much nicer stays elsewhere. It wasn't awful, just nowhere near great.
