The room was a good size and the location was great. I would have given five stars if housekeeping had set up the sofa bed we requested for our one-bedroom booking for four. When we arrived, we had to move the heavy marble table ourselves and pull the bed out. The bedding was clean, but underneath the bed was dusty and dirty. The front desk was friendly and very helpful. Special thanks to Mr Mohfowd, who came out to help us flag down a cab at short notice when we checked out, then helped lift our heavy luggage into it. That's really good service.

The studio we were given was in the basement and nothing like the photos online. It was dark and damp, the heating didn't work in winter, and the bathroom was freezing because its window was poorly insulated. The kitchen tap leaked badly, so we had to collect the water ourselves. We paid the full price but didn't get basic living conditions. This was especially upsetting as it wasn't our first stay. We booked through Booking.com (Reservation No.: 5087740128). I've submitted a formal complaint with supporting evidence.

We booked through Booking.com (Reservation No.: 5087740128), and this wasn't our first stay, which made the visit all the more shocking. Our basement studio was dark and damp, nothing like the pictures online, and clearly unsuitable. The heater didn't work in the middle of winter, the kitchen tap leaked so badly we had to collect the water by hand, and the bathroom was extremely cold because the window wasn't insulated. We paid in full and didn't even get the basic standards of accommodation. It showed a lack of care for guests' comfort. I don't recommend this place, and I've filed a formal complaint with documentation.

We paid GBP760 a night for a family stay with two small children, but the apartment wasn't fit for purpose because there was no hot water. Instead of moving us to another room or accommodation, they had service people working in our bedroom throughout the stay. We only got hot water on the final night, and had no privacy. It was clearly a major system failure. The front desk staff were friendly and offered crisps and a soft drink as compensation. Management offered a 5% discount after we complained, but that was nowhere near enough for a stay without hot water or privacy. It wasn't the standard of a four-star hotel, or arguably of any accommodation. We won't stay again on principle.

The apartment was comfortable, clean and well equipped, and the staff were incredibly helpful. The location was ideal too, with transport, shops and attractions all easy to reach. Everything went smoothly, and we had a wonderful stay in London. Highly recommend!
