Comfort Inn Hyde Park

Breakfast was crowded, and I had to wait because there wasn’t a seat. There were no coffee cups either, so I had to ask the staff for one. I can’t fully judge the food since I like eggs, but nothing hot was available. There were tomatoes, cucumbers, cold cuts, and bread to toast yourself. The room seemed more suited to one person than two because it was very small. There was no way to control its temperature.

For one night, it was fine, especially since I wasn’t expecting much. It’s a place to sleep, though I wouldn’t suggest staying longer. My room was newer and clean, and I think renovations may be happening now. Paddington station is about a 15-minute walk away, with a tube station nearby for getting around. They first kept our luggage in the hallway, then moved it to a secure room when we checked in.

The bed was soft and comfortable, and the staff were kind and helpful. I slept well. The main reason I chose the hotel was its location: it’s near two tube stations, a short walk from Paddington, and surrounded by restaurants and shops. I value location more than luxury, but I still expected better value for the price. I often use budget hotels in London, so I know what to expect, but even by London standards the room was very small. There was hardly space to open my suitcase comfortably, and getting luggage up the narrow stairs was awkward. The breakfast area was dark, tiny, and crowded, not a relaxing place to eat. There’s no vending machine, so if you forget to buy water or snacks, you’re stuck. One in the lobby would help. It’s a reasonable choice if you want a central spot and can live with cramped space and basic service.

The staff were so friendly and greeted us with smiles. We slept well, and breakfast was included, which was a nice extra. The double room was small, but fine for our two nights. Our little cases fit under the bed, and there was a small wardrobe, probably just enough for two coats. We also had tea and coffee facilities and a clean bathroom. The location was fantastic. We’d a great stay at the Comfort Inn Hyde Park.
